The idea of high level, detailed, professional quality basketball training for non-professionals (youth players) was the notion that led to the creation of Basketball University. Founded in 2004, by Rhossi Carron, Basketball University began with one child on a driveway in Houston, Texas. Since then, Basketball University has expanded by targeting all aspects of youth basketball coaching and training, including skills camps, coaching clinics, team workouts, developmental leagues, and a competitive and elite level AAU program. Basketball University initially set out to transform Houston area youth basketball by helping young players improve their basketball fundamentals, as well as develop a love and understanding of the game at a level beyond their years. But, in 2010, Basketball University began offering programs and services for collegiate and professional athletes as well, and developed a Sports Performance Training Program to help athletes improve their speed, strength, flexibility, and sports related movement. With an emphasis on skill development, basketball IQ, and athletic enhancement, our program is dedicated to maximizing the performance level of athletes of all ages and abilities. So, whether an athlete is looking to excel on a local youth league team, become a standout varsity player, earn a college scholarship, or maximize his/her skills as a professional athlete, we have the basketball knowledge and training program to help them achieve their goal. What started seven years ago with one student on a paved driveway has become a multi-faceted sports training program. The combination of high-level basketball skill development, along with elite performance and strength training has made Basketball University one of the leaders in integrated basketball development. Today, Basketball University has become the preferred and premiere basketball training program for youth, competitive, elite, and professional athletes. We are truly helping athletes of all levels and ages maximize their abilities and reach their full potential.
